Book Review
The following review was originally published by Tera on her Blog, A Succubi's Tale on July 5, 2020
A story of a soul touched by a succubus, their ongoing relationship, the path they walk together and what the future held for them both. A story of wishes, wants and the moment when all things come to pass.
The work is a very intimate and telling story of one soul’s encounter with a succubus and what came from that moment. It’s not exactly erotica, it’s more of a translation of a series of blog posts which became this work in the end. Call it a precession of events and moments through which both sides of the relationship come into focus and tell of what was.
Catherine, the succubus of the work, is anything but stereotypical or evil and I was rather thankful to see that. Perhaps somewhere between an angel and a succubus, tending a bit towards the naughty side, her love in the story is so dearly present and creates something unique and memorable.
Three and a half out of five pitchforks.
A very atmospheric story and one which leaves quite a lot to wonder about. The tone and storytelling is quite telling, and by the close there are questions left unanswered. But then that sort of is the point of this work, an exploration of an experience and one that I found to be so dearly an engrossing a read.
