Book Review

The following review was originally published by Tera on her Blog, A Succubi's Tale on December 20, 2020

True darkness comes in the soul and when that evil attracts the depth of hell, the one that answers will take the revenge she has been called for.

The work is a very dark horror story with a bit of succubus erotica around the edges of what otherwise is a series of very dark erotic cans that just add to the darkness more. As a horror story, the work is very much that and as a work of erotica, there is a lot that is over the top and very painful to read. But that is the point here, as as the main character is completely unlikeable, what happens to them really gives no sympathy to him at all.

Mordronia, the succubus of the story, is very much evil, a means for revenge and in that she fits into the story’s darkness well. She is very much a succubus, a bit on the edge of being stereotypically evil however which is a bit of a shame really. It’s also a shame that her character is a bit glossed over to get to the horror aspects for which she fits the role very well.

Two and a half out of five pitchforks.

I have read many of this author’s stories and really this one was the most difficult to read overall. The main character was dislikable from the start, the story was one horror filled moment to the next and while there was some erotica, it was there for the sake of it really. Mordronia however was interesting and I wonder about her in many ways as I feel like there was a lot not told about her in the story.
