The Poem
The Succubus' Prayer
Scarletdarkness
- I want to say I'm happy, but these tears suggest otherwise.
- I want to touch the sun, but I think I'll burn inside.
- I want to reach the heavens, but all I have is hell.
- I think that I am insane, and that I will never be well.
- A placid smile across my face, too pretty for you to be stern.
- A hollow cavern in its place, can you even discern?
- A wicked day that I foretell, when this is future past.
- A time when no one will care, and I can die at last.
- Tell me all your secrets, conceed to me your sins.
- Tell me what you want from me, fall prey to my concealed whim.
- Be submissive to my onyx eyes, seduced by every single taunt.
- Be wary of the beast inside, and with my voice I'll haunt.
- Don't think that I will fall away, nor that I will give in.
- Even though sometimes I whisper that my will to live grows thin.
- Patience is the key in this, though I will not tell you why.
- Just know that I am here right now, but I will leave if you cry.
- Cold and hated deep inside, tortured without a cause.
- Ridden of my hopes and dreams, taunted without pause.
- A demon to man's desire, a wicked succubus.
- I am the holder of your wishes, I am the keeper of your lust.
