Plot Summary

After being transformed into an impossibly sexy, and deadly, succubus, Krissy has taken the first step toward her revenge by killing her sexual rival, Jo Anne, but not without having some steamy fun with her first. Killing her is not enough, however, she wants to destroy Jo Anne's good girl reputation. So she decides she's going to have a lot more sexy, wild fun with the town drunk right on his porch, all while disguised as Jo Anne.

After that, it's time to lure in her primary target: Larry, her cheating, good-for-nothing boyfriend. How will she do that? By seducing his mom, of course.

Book Review

The following review was originally published by Tera on her Blog, A Succubi's Tale on August 25, 2015

Krissy is seeking revenge, and in order to do so she’s killed one person and now she’s going to have her way with one and change another. Revenge is a complicated thing when you are a succubus you know.

Overall, there’s a slight change in this work and that comes from Krissy realizing that her personality is changing, turning towards all sort of evil thoughts. She is aware of this, makes reference to it, but doesn’t do anything about it. She’s more interested in continuing her revenge in any means she can and, as such, that carries this work along.

While it wasn’t clear in the first work, she has killed one person, that being shown not just by the summary, but a scene in the work that leaves no question to what she’s done. There’s not much reaction to that from Krissy, and it seems like she cares less and less as things proceed onwards. Save for one moment when a character tells her a secret and Krissy changes her mind about continuing to kill others, at least for a moment. This leads to the transformation of another character which I felt worked well in comparison with Krissy’s actions in the first work.

This decision leads to a well told transformation, a piece of erotica that was not quite a hot flash, but slightly better than the erotica in the first work was. Along with that scene comes a slight change in Krissy, if for no other reason than she realizes there are other ways to have revenge on another. Because of this, there’s a little bit of character growth in her, but by the end, when she works her revenge on her ex-boyfriend, a lot of that vanishes again.

Taking this as Krissy being influenced by the demon, or succubus, that she has within her, that makes some sense and works for the most part. The work is a lot more focused than the preceding work was, allowing Krissy’s thoughts to turn more towards what’s happening to her and how to deal with that. It opens an interesting plot, as to who’s life is it now, and where things go from here.

The work ends on a minor cliffhanger, but mainly sets up Krissy’s continued trail through the trailer park. Getting to that point takes a sidetrack, an encounter and a brushoff. But there is the beginnings of a story around the revenge in itself that should, I think, make things better going forwards. Or at least I hope it does.

Two out of five pitchforks.

There seems to be another work in the series to come, based on the ending. As things became slightly better and more interesting in this work, I hope the next will continue that going forwards. Perhaps Krissy will discover that having isn’t everything. You still might lose it all.
