Plot Summary

She’s a succubus allergic to souls. He’s a Paladin obsessed with municipal paperwork. It’s a match made in bureaucratic heaven.

Welora is a Princess of the Pit with a highly embarrassing secret: she is biologically incapable of being a terrifying seductress. In fact, the mere scent of a human soul makes her violently sneeze. Surviving entirely on stolen pastries and refined sugar, her carefully hidden existence comes crashing down when her ambitious father betroths her to the Iron Groom—a ruthless demon who is quite literally a walking, talking pile of burning charcoal.

Desperate to escape a future of eternal chafing and zero dessert options, Welora flees to the mortal city of Oakhaven.

Enter Sir Alistair. Once a glorious dragon-slayer, he was demoted to City Warden after accidentally destroying a legally protected historical birdbath. Now, his days consist of strictly enforcing municipal codes and filing endless "Supernatural Infraction" forms. But when a chaotic, strawberry-scented demon literally falls into his life—and promptly trips over a ceramic garden gnome—Alistair finds himself breaking every rule in his meticulously organized handbook to protect her.

With demonic bounty hunters closing in and a magical marriage contract looming, Welora and Alistair must navigate the neon-drenched Faery District, outsmart a foot-obsessed necromancer, and survive the Sinking Catacombs.

Can a walking catastrophe of a demon finally claim her perfect, "munchy" match? Or will she be dragged back to the Pit before dessert is served?
