Plot Summary

Adrasteia, as told by the all-seeing god Tiphytus, begins with her parents as most people do. When she is born a cambion (half-demon, half-obir), per the rule of the umvramund, she is read by a creature called an Ordo named Seraph. Seraph finds in Adrasteia that she will be the cause for the end of existence and orders her parents to kill her. They find this order to be ridiculous and refuse leaving Seraph to look elsewhere for anyone willing to destroy the child. He finds mortal enemies Deattle, king of the obirs, and her uncle Benefacio, king of the werewolves.

The two were so eager to destroy Adrasteia as a threat that they ended a war that lasted for millenia to kill her. However, neither of Adrasteia's enemies could kill her when the opportunity arose. She grew up to be a notorious and formidable daemoness with enemies all over the globe. It appeared to all those that refused to kill her that Seraph's vision of her would come to fruition, but having been born to the loving Lianna and Constantin, Adrasteia did not seek dominion of the world but a lover capable of being immune to her sincubus charm, the strongest of her powers.

It seemed it would be Deattle, but when Adrasteia did not kill his foe he saw her as a threat and attempted to kill her by stabbing her through the heart. Adrasteia slept for nearly two hundred years under the protection of Benefacio. It was not until the innocent and unsuspecting Helene Epione encountered the sleeping daemoness that Adrasteia returned to the land of the living. It was then, when Helene kissed her that all Tarteres broke loose.
