Plot Summary

Having tasked Danielle with her sensitive mission, Azrael sets herself loose on the unsuspecting men of this rest area.

Enter the realm of the succubus and learn their seductive ways as Azrael replenishes her power with the help of several aroused men. But trouble is afoot. Succubae are supposed to remain in the shadows, careful not to be discovered, yet Azrael's loud and messy way of doing things is upsetting the natural order of the Under Realm.

Azrael must face the consequences of her actions eventually...

Book Review

The following review was originally published by Tera on her Blog, A Succubi's Tale on May 2, 2025

The hunger of a succubus is never ending and for the younger succubi it tends to bring them to be foolish and unwise. For Azrael, her simmering anger may get the better of her and what follows might be less than she desires things to be.

The work continues immediately from the prior work and what follows is just a series of Azrael feeding from and then killing one man after the other with really little else happening for much of the story. The erotica is somewhat bland and uninteresting overall, there’s not a lot of heat and really it’s more clinical than anything else.

With that said, the story is told from Azrael’s perspective and being so there’s a lot of mythos explained, her character and personality comes out and the plots and plans which surround her are very clearly told. The problem is that Azrael is something of a brat, a troublemaker, and cares little save for the possibility of her “leveling up” as a succubus as soon as she can. While at first she seemed like a newly formed succubus, the story reveals a lot about her history, her relationships and the strife around her.

Still, it’s disappointing that she turns so deeply stereotypical at this point in the series. There’s nothing to make her more attractive as a character and as for caring much about her, that’s hard to do when she has become so eminently unlikeable and likely will continue to be so as the series progresses.

Three out of five pitchforks.

It’s a shame that Azrael’s true nature is being a brat and not a lot else. With all of the background about the succubi in this universe that was revealed, she being more of a schemer would be a lot more interesting than what she has become. Having the main character of a story, or series for that matter, being eminently unlikeable really doesn’t bode well. Hopefully the next part of the series will offer something more than just Azrael being out of control.
