Plot Summary

The van wasn't there just moments ago. Uh-oh... Stranger Danger. To Ollie, it feels like the exact moment in time for which his father has tried to prepare him. This summer day isn't as perfect as it seems, and life for Ollie and his younger brother will never be the same. The keeper and the succubus have arrived.

Book Review

The following review was originally published by Tera on her Blog, A Succubi's Tale on August 2, 2020

An encounter brings life to change for two brothers and they will never be, or will be, the same.

The work is a very short, what I call a pamphlet, horror story with a little hint of implied succubus erotica sprinkled in to push the story, and the characters forwards. It’s a rather singular story with little plot and as for character development, that doesn’t happen so much as the story just makes a reality change and moves on.

The succubus, who is never named, is a means to an end in the story and not more than that. They are evil, they do evil tings, but otherwise there’s nothing to their character beyond what happens. As such they are very one-dimensional in their purpose and nothing more.

One out of five pitchforks.

Really did not like this story very much, it’s more horror than anything else and where that horror is directed just felt so very wrong and is probably why this work disappeared as quickly as it did. The concept is interesting, but the story itself didn’ work for me at all.
