Plot Summary
Cassie has been in college for seven years. She is hard working and diligent about studying how the world works, and finding new ways to cast magic. She’s extremely intelligent, but she will soon find herself tested in ways she didn’t expect, as she bears the burden and repercussions of her actions.
Everything will change, because until now, she’d never really been responsible for anything except for herself. Now she finds herself buried under more responsibility than anyone should ever have to bear alone, and more than one world hangs in the balance. She may be intelligent but she is still young. Will she find the wisdom to find her way through it all without losing who she is?
