Book Review
The following review was originally published by Tera on her Blog, A Succubi's Tale on April 5, 2020
Sisters are always there for each other, even if they don’t always tell the truth of their secrets. But when an incubus threatens Nichole’s sister, she takes things into her hands no matter the risk. Because that is what sisters do.
The work is a short story of the entanglement two sisters have with an incubus, but it is not a work of erotica by any means. It’s focused on the sisters, the trials that effect them both and their relationship than very much on the incubus otherwise.
The incubus of the work, Darek, really isn’t explored very much at all, being more a catalyst to all else that happens than anything else. Though he is an incubus, there’s really so little explored about him, other than his effect on the sisters themselves. As such he’s an enigma with some purpose, but as a fleshed out character he really isn’t that.
Three out of five pitchforks.
It’s really not that much of an incubus story, Darek lurks around the edges and otherwise just doesn’t really come into play. It’s more of a story about two sisters trying to protect each other and in that way this story works, but it’s not erotica and one reading this should not expect it to be.
