Plot Summary
The life of a Succubus is hard...
Having just been passed up by the woman he's been seeing in favor of his younger brother, Steven isn't exactly on the look out for Mrs. Right. He figures his latest mission, a fact finding excursion into the human world, will be a quick and easy way to distract himself from the pitying eyes he feels all around him.
... being raised human doesn't make it any easier.
Stacey doesn't know why every man she gets involved with dies, she just knows she doesn't want it to happen again. She isn't looking to get involved with anyone ever again, specially not the too-cute-for-his-own-good guy who just happened into her life. A guy who, despite all her reasons and excuses not to get involved, has weaseled his way into her mind, and her fantasies.
It doesn't take long for Steven to realize just why Stacey's so gun-shy but it will take him a lot longer to gain her trust. Not to mention he has to convince her the things in her past weren't her fault.
As her fantasies get more and more life like, and Steven reveals the truth about her heritage, Stacey battles her fears and doubts, wondering if everything she's ever known was a lie.
