Book Review

The following review was originally published by Tera on her Blog, A Succubi's Tale on October 13, 2019

Lilith set a seed of hope within two teenagers and set them on Earth towards a goal of light. But darkness craves and if they are unwary, the darkest of things will claim them and the hope awaiting them.

The work is a fantasy adventure with interesting world building, characters as well. But it is also so dearly dark overall, and at the same time there’s an undercurrent of hopelessness that tears at the main characters as the darkness rushes towards them.

The single largest issue with this work is the editing. There are far too many spelling mistakes, misused words, and at times the sentences don’t make sense as the words just don’t fit properly.

Lilith, who is described as the Queen of all Evil, isn’t stereotypical by any means. She’s interesting, adds an odd quirkiness too the story as well. More of a means to shade information dumps a bit, her tone and presence I thought was well done.

Three out of five pitchforks.

The work is a bit odd and more than a little scattered as well. It really needs another editing pass to clean up the dialogue and make the story flow better. The story, and Lilith herself, are a very captivating read, but I think this could have been a lot better with a little more time to develop along the way.
