Book Review

The following review was originally published by Tera on her Blog, A Succubi's Tale on November 13, 2018

Emma has a problem, and the entire universe seems to be in on the act. Something is coming, and it’s not only her. But when it is time to run, to escape, there’s only one place to go and whatever comes next, she will be there cumming too.

The work is a science fiction adventure with an erotic edge and a main character that has all of the aspects of a succubus, save for the obvious horns and tail. The universe is interesting, the story offers a lot of action and adventure and it really does that well.

The erotica doesn’t feel out of place overall. It fits into the narrative, it plays with the scenes and the characters that appear throughout the story. The heat simmers and then flares deliciously and there is a lot going for the story in not making those moments be sin the story for no reason as there always is one.

Emma, the succubus of the story, is very much a sexual being, and there are aspects of her that are very similar to that of succubi, which her kind were called on Earth. There are hints of mind control and other succubi powers that played well in the story and I really enjoyed Emma as a succubus and a very delicious one at that.

Three and a half out of five pitchforks.

The work closes in a place that would obviously have led to the next book in the series, but that never happened. It’s a shame really as the idea of succubi in space is something that I have always been deadly interested in. With that said, the work needs another editing pass, and it would have been really nice for the story to tell more about the succubi in this universe. Especially their history and how they once almost took control of the galaxy. That is a story I would have loved to have seen.
