Book Review

The following review was originally published by Tera on her Blog, A Succubi's Tale on May 10, 2019

It’s one thing to be a succubus, it’s quite another to be a succubus like Jilith and feeling the hunger overcoming her. But she can’t be resisted, she will get what she wants and someone will be paying the price with their souls.

The work is a very short, what I call a pamphlet, erotic hot flash which is very much focused on the main character being a succubus, her effects on others, and the sexual entanglements she draws them into. The heat builds quickly, the story moves even faster and overall it was quite a delight to see what, and who, came about.

Jilith, the succubus of the wark, never appears as anything other than a beautiful woman craving sex for the most part. There are hints of her powers, a bit of mind control around the edges as well. She’s somewhere between a tease and a predator, which the story tells about quite well. She’s very blunt about her nature, what she needs, the souls she captures, and what she will do with them. That last part being a bit odd as a whole however.

Three out of five pitchforks.

Jilith is interesting as a succubus, but she feels a little single minded and a perhaps a little one-dimensional as well. Then there’s that bit of expected evil and careless tone which didn’t make her all that much more interesting. Perhaps the next work in the series will change my thoughts about her, I do hope so because I think there’s something beyond th surface that hasn’t been touched on as yet.
