Book Review
The following review was originally published by Tera on her Blog, A Succubi's Tale on June 14, 2019
Chase has a problem and it starts with the ring on his finger and every succubus in his college trying to get into his pants… and other things. There is a price to be paid by those that are entangled with the succubi, the question is what the price will do to them all.
The work is a cute and amusing story of adventure, succubi erotica, deals and disasters. There is also a rather strong harem theme mixed into the story which tends to take over at times as well. Overall the tone and the erotica is rather anime-ish overall, which isn’t a terrible thing, but it does telegraph a lot of the encounters and the events of the plot well before them come to pass.
There are quite a varied collection of succubi in the work. different types, different personalities and so on. Some are very evil in their personality, others are all about sex with the main character. Horns and tails appear, there are little aspects of mind control and other succubi powers appear as well. None are stereotypical thankfully, though there’s honestly not enough character development of many of them, save for Tracy, the main succubus character.
Three out of five pitchforks.
The story, while having succubi, and much of the story revolving around the main character chasing, or being chased by them, is really more focused on the harem and anime aspects overall. That is expected of course, but being so there’s really not a lot of character development for the succubi other than being oversexed and single minded and it would have been interesting to see more development for all of them than there was.
