Book Review

The following review was originally published by Tera on her Blog, A Succubi's Tale on March 15, 2020

A world of mystery and adventure takes Lisbeth into the depths of a quest which offers conflict, passion and need. The question becomes if the game is really a game after all.

The work is a fantasy adventure with a very strong LitRPG aspect that drives the story and characters throughout. It’s interesting for the most part, a bit scattered on the edges however. It’s not really erotica, though there are a number of romance aspects otherwise.

Lisbeth, the main character, appears to have a succubus aspect to her, but that’s very much muted and hides in the background for much of the work. When it appears, it’s fleeting and reads more like a need expressed than being actually something focused on her being a succubus. As such, overall, the work doesn’t explore that aspect of her character which was a shame.

One pitchfork out of five.

The work is far more a fantasy adventure than a story about the main character being a succubus. Overall is was an interesting read but the LitRPG aspects as always bothered me probably more than they should have.
