Book Review
The following review was originally published by Tera on her Blog, A Succubi's Tale on July 2, 2019
Callista has a need, and it’s to gain power and become the witch she wants to be. A deal with a demon gives her that power, but there is a price and she will be paying many times over.
The work is a very short hot erotic flash centred on the main character making a deal with a demon and then being entangled with them, and then being further entangled with a trio of incubi. While much of the story is about the erotic scenes, there’s quite a bit of character development and that I thought was done well and it added depth to what otherwise might have been just a sex story alone.
The demon, and incubi of the work, Viris, Ember, Fang and Nuit. are sort of on the edge of being evil, but feel more naughty and focused on sex with Callista than anything else. There is a bit of a mythos created to explain something that happens to Callista, which I thought was a nice twist in the story too. The four are very much creates of sex and desire, a bit on the dominant side as well, but it’s not over the top and it made for a far more interesting story as well.
Three out of five pitchforks.
The story ends in a way that suggests there would be a follow on story, which would be interesting. Callista has, in a way, made her bed and now has to sleep in it and I wonder where that would take her as things unfolded. At the same time the story of the demon and incubi would be nice to see explored more than just what happens to Callista with them.
