Plot Summary

Landon is a typical university student but has a dark secret: he has force play kink. Ashamed of his preferences and unable to find anyone willing to take advantage of him the way he wants, he hides it for years until he finally finds someone—or something, rather—that is willing and capable of playing along with him.

That ‘something’ ends up being a succubus that is able to transform into what Landon can only describe as a walking wet dream. Its appearance is akin to a Greek god, and it informs Landon that it can help him fulfill any of his deepest and darkest fantasies in exchange for being fed on. It doesn’t take much convincing for Landon to quickly agree to the arrangement.

However, the succubus is no beginner to this type of play and Landon soon finds himself being pushed closer and closer to his limit for the first time in his adult life. Can Landon handle everything the succubus has to offer, or will he finally have to throw in the towel?

Book Review

The following review was originally published by Tera on her Blog, A Succubi's Tale on November 30, 2021

Landon discovers an odd creature on his way home and soon finds that it’s a succubus and he’s willing to fulfil Landon’s erotic fantasy. But that means letting go, letting the succubus take control of everything, and finding out if what Landon desires is what he really wants.

The work is a m/m focused piece of BDSM erotica with a very dark tone overall. The lead up to the erotica is really interesting and I would have liked to know more about the succubus of the work, Eli, as there really isn’t much told about him.

Eli’s character as a succubus runs hot and cold, his personality changing to meet Landon’s needs. That fits the story well and it does allow Eli to give Landon what he desires. But the erotica itself is harsh, somewhat over the top and, at least for me, didn’t have a lot of heat. I understand why the story turns in the direction it does, how things develop, but overall it just didn’t sit right with my experiences as a Domme. I’m sure to some this work has heat and it will be what they desire, but it just didn’t have much for me.

The work could use another editing pass to clean up the dialogue and make it better. At times it’s flat, needing emotion, and doing so would have helped a lot. It also would be nice to tell more about Eli as well, there’s a lot of story that just doesn’t appear.

Three out of five pitchforks.

The story has its moments, but the erotica just didn’t work for me. I’d like there to be more depth in the story, more character development too. But otherwise the world building and story idea is delightful, it’s just a shame that the erotica wasn’t what I’d hoped for.
