Book Review
The following review was originally published by Tera on her Blog, A Succubi's Tale on May 3, 2019
Sophia has a problem, and it’s not the time of the night, the weather, her car not starting either. It’s a problem that her rescuer Kurt can help her with. After all, succubi have needs too.
The work is a very short, what I call a pamphlet, succubus erotica hot flash that is just wonderfully told. The characters are fun, the situation is perfect, and how things unfold is very much a succubus seduction that isn’t evil, but is so very hot.
How things unfold sets an air of mystery around the characters and as the story moves towards the erotica and the climax, there’s a shift in Sophia that I loved to watch unfold and did so in a way that wasn’t over the top or felt silly with everything that came before.
Sophia, the succubus of the story, starts out very much as a damsel in distress but over time her succubus nature as a predator comes out and it’s a delight. Her succubus aspects are clearly revealed, the vampire bite was a bit odd, but works with this story. There’s really nothing told of her nature or past or anything really because of how short the story is and that’s a bit of an issue for me. I wanted to know mire, even if that was in passing in an epilogue, but it didn’t.
Four out of five pitchforks.
With how good the writing is, how interesting the characters are, it is a real shame that the story is so dearly short. It would make for a wonderful opening chapter to a novel honestly. Just a lot of positive things to be found and I just wish there was a greater story to follow from what is here.
