Nikita is on the hunt and discovers a morsel that she is attracted to. A bit of play becomes an ensnarement, but who is the one being caught in the web and who is the spider? Sometimes they can be both at the same time.
The book summary is so terribly short and reveals next to nothing about the work and in being so I would have passed this work by if it wasn’t available on Kindle Unlimited. This shouldn’t be and the author needs to rewrite the summary to make it more appealing. There’s a very hot encounter and scene to be found in this short story and I have the feeling that as things stand few will come to read this work.
Nikita, the main character, can be described as a succubus, and there is a hint of her otherworldly form, even if that only appears for a split-second in the work. Nonetheless, she’s seductive, enthralling, and has the most wonderful personality. I liked her character very much and her actions as a succubus, in controlling her tasty morsel are delicious and I thought were well done.
The story is very short, really it is a scene, a chapter at the most. But the heat is there from the first word to the last and it made up for a lot of things the work lacked or were odd. The single thing that bothered me the most was when the point of view changed, there was a chapter title with either Nikita’s or Miles’ name in bold before their story was told from their perception. At times the story read something like a chat transcript as a result. I didn’t feel like that worked, really it broke up and interfered with the heat of the story. It would have been better to remove them because they aren’t at all needed. It’s clear who is talking in the moment, and that runs true through the story overall.
The erotic scenes are very hot, there’s some well written succubus mind control as well. The story does take a neat little turn and how Nikita reacts to that I think was well done. Miles’ reactions to how things happen is also interesting and how Nikita deals with something that shouldn’t be happening fits her personality and style.
The work comes to an abrupt end, which is a bit of a shame. There’s a question asked at the end that I would have liked to have seen taken forward in some way. If this was the opening chapter to a novel, and it was formatted as such, I would be very hooked on the story and wanting to see what comes next. As things are I feel there’s things missing which, if there were there, and the author had expanded on more than what comes to a sex scene overall, would have been so much better.

An odd decision made in formatting the story, a story that is too short and leaves so much more to be told. The author should consider writing the larger story that seems to be hovering around the edges of this one.
