Plot Summary

Come, fill the Hungering Chalice at the Altar of Desire! The sorceress Astemeni invites you to the Summer Festival of Abundance, where her eager witches-in-training await your contribution…

The alluring angel Amitiel and her sexy succubus best friend Zillah can’t wait for the festivities to begin! They’re inseparable and the prospect of entertaining together at the Summer Festival only brings them closer. When Astemeni only gives them one name, they’re devastated! How can one man satisfy two seductive witches?

But the huge demon is capable of more than the girls ever imagined…

Ariston Gabell is the dark realm’s greatest blacksmith, a huge hulking demon whose craftsmanship is legendary. He’s surprised at his solo invitation to the Altar, but determined to make the best of it. The two lusty witches hosting him seem a little disappointed but Ariston has a big secret.

Eight big black writhing secrets, actually…

Two enchanting witches might be too much for one man, but Ariston’s got eight undulating tentacles among his impressive endowments. Will he prove too much for the girls? Can Ami and Zillah fulfill their duties as vessels of the Hungering Chalice, demanding to be filled?

Book Review

The following review was originally published by Tera on her Blog, A Succubi's Tale on November 25, 2022

For Amitiel and Zillah, it’s important to make the sorceress Astemeni proud of their efforts during a very important festival. But its also important for an angel and a succubus to find a way to have their desires fulfilled. Not every soul is capable of such things, but perhaps the stranger they encounter will be more than what they desire, he’ll be what they need.

The work is a fantasy-based piece of erotica that works in a good deal of world building to tell the story. Along with that comes the main characters that are so very cute and fun in their personalities which leads really well into their desires and what the story tells beyond that. It’s a bit fast-paced at times, skimming over some plot points in the assumption that the reader has read the prior works in the series however.

The erotica is a slow burn that works quite well to draw the characters together and then tell of what they are capable of, both in an erotic sense and in their abilities otherwise. It’s not a succubus overall, mainly in the sense that Zillah, the succubus of the work, is very much a wonderful seductress, but the story sort of carries her and the angel Amitiel along as it goes from encounter to passions shared.

Zillah is not a stereotypical succubus by any means. Her passions are in the pleasures she can be part of, how she can be part of them. Her description and personality has a bit of an anime succubus feel to them, which makes her that much more adorable.

The story feels a bit rushed as I have noted, there are points where drawing out the story really would have been fun or told more of the ecstasy that the characters feel in this encounter. It’s when the story slows itself, allowing them to tell of themselves, revealing the truths of each, where I found the capitating story I was hoping for.

Three and a half pitchforks out of five.

Amitiel and Zillah are just a lot of adorably cute fun together. Those that know me will understand why having them being friends just bemuses me to no end. Beyond that, the universe is interesting, there are others works in the series that I have looked at and are as delightful a read as this was. I would really be interested in finding out more of Zillah’s past, perhaps an adventure with her alone might be something to consider, certainly finding out about other succubi in this world and what things are like for them is a thought.
