Plot Summary

A succubus, that most dangerous of the Fae, the fairy people. Jyneth the Bold is tired of searching for human males to surrender their chi, the energy she consumes at the moment of male orgasm. Why not look for a live-in position, one in which all her needs are care for, from food to wanton sexual acts? Daniel Denova, a billionaire, is, more importantly, a Big Daddy who wants a Little. Sounds like the perfect position for Jyneth. No matter what depravities he imagines, Jyneth can think of more, want more. For now, Jyneth the Bold, fae extraordinaire, has found an interesting career path.

Book Review

The following review was originally published by Tera on her Blog, A Succubi's Tale on April 10, 2018

Like all of her kind, Jyneth seeks the pleasures of the flesh, and the soothing of her hunger through the fire within others. But Daniel has other needs and to claim him, Jyneth will change herself to become the perfect one and more.

The work is a vary short, what I call a pamphlet, erotic hot flash with the focus starting at seduction and domination before turning towards a series of scenes reflecting the main character changing her outward personality, becoming submissive to her prey, being passed through some assorted fetishes before the work comes to a close.

The erotic heat is very well done at the start and first few pages, the hunt and seductivenes of the main character was compelling and I rather enjoyed her sexual nature being cast out to ensnare her prey. This was, for me, the most captivating part and when the trap was closed, and her personality changed, the story lost my attention. The tone and dialogue just didn’t appeal, the scenes, which made sense mind you, were uncomfortable and it was only in the brief moments when Jyneth’s trie nature was hinted at that my interest returned.

Jyneth. the succubus of the work, is quite unique, being that she is fae and not really what one would expect for her being a succubus. Her powers are very much succubus-like, if a bit shifted towards playing a role with a hint of mind control here and there. It’s a shame that Jyneth wasn’t explored more in her true nature, for that was deliciously well done.

The overall arc of the story closes in something of a disappointment, mostly in the turn of tone and the transformation of the situation. While it makes sense, for me at least the fetishes are not that interesting, the heat feels muted and the heat at the start just wasn’t there any longer for me.

Two and a half out of five pitchforks.

The work closes in a way that I think needed a following story, to see the tables turned and Jyneth figuratively twist her knife of domination into all that surrounded her at the close. That would be interesting, to see the seductress fully reformed and her powers unleashed. Something to wonder about certainly at that.
