Plot Summary

No one is ever prepared for the worst.

With his father's murder and his own torment at the hands of a nefarious cult, nine-year old Lance Parker's simple life is shattered. Through nothing short of a miracle, he is whisked to safety and soon adopted by the succubus Alisha Harlita and her three daughters, a new life of endless wonders in wait for him.

But the scars alas run too deep, and Lance's heart seems broken beyond repair. He can't sleep for fear of dreaming of all he's lost. He can't bring himself to trust his new mother and sisters no matter how much love they show him. He is convinced he's nothing more than a burden. His mind further fractures with every passing day, and soon enough...

...he comes to believe he'd be better off dead.
