Plot Summary
All the things that go bump in the night are very real, and they all walk among us. Camouflage with the ordinary everyday folk who go to work and play in the park. They have their laws much like we have our own. But what happens when that line is crossed? What happens when they no longer choose to cooperate?
A contract is issued.
Hunter works for his own self-made agency that exploded in the two years he’s had it. He has his own people, his own staff, but still goes out into the field. A succubus in Texas that’s feeding to the extreme is recruited to the team in exchange for her cooperation and forfeiture of her gluttonous lifestyle. But there are many more contracts out there.
Sirens attack boats in Hawaii. A cannibal in the Michigan wilderness. An ancient mystery uncovered in Egypt. All of these things are just a few of the adventures that Hunter, his right-hand man Hanson, and his newly acquired companion Juliet embark on in this world that remains hidden in plain sight.
There’s always more than meets the naked eye with these types of jobs. And there’s more than meets the eye with their mysterious boss. Hunter grows in more ways than just experience as an old contact of his shows up and throws everything out of line, invoking a deeper, much more ancient hatred that has taken root in the calm office.
