Plot Summary

Jes has moved on. Sure, maybe it was a mistake to think she could date an incubus in the first place but in her defense he was really good looking. That relationship had gone down in flames—somewhere amid crazy people trying to kill her and/or steal part of her brain, her (insert choice profanity here) boyfriend, Seth, had even found time to cheat on her. With multiple women.

So that ended. Seth has been gone for a year, along with his sister, Lily. And Jes’ life has never been better. Grades are up, her friends are awesome, she’s got a guy she’s been seeing and nothing the slightest bit supernatural has happened for a long time. With any luck, things would keep on looking up. But let’s be honest—she’s never really had the best of luck.
