Plot Summary
During his uncle’s funeral, young Robert encounters a strange Raven-like creature who leads him to the attic of his family’s ancestral home. There, an old mirror serves as a portal between this world and another dimension. Robert follows Mr. Raven through the portal to the other world, where he reveals that he is actually Adam, the first man. Adam tells Robert a terrible struggle between good and evil has consumed his world—and at the heart of this battle sits his first wife, Lilith.
Robert quickly becomes enmeshed in this new reality, meeting a wounded Lilith and nursing her back to health before she turns on him, rejecting all that he and his fellow humans stand for. He meets Eve, Adam’s second wife and the most beautiful woman he’s ever beheld, and their daughter, Mara, who opposes Lilith and her evil intentions.
