Book Review
The following review was originally published by Tera on her Blog, A Succubi's Tale on December 9, 2018
Tiris needs and the need never leaves her. She wants Oriel and she will do whatever it takes to find her again. Even if the cost is calling another of the succubi and trying to ask questions and not lose herself in the process.
The work is a hot flash which continues to tell the story of Tiris, who is a wonderfully complex character with needs, wants and desires. Again it is a shame that the story is so short as the events hint at an amazingly complex story universe which really needed to be explored further.
Her focus, carrying on from the prior work, is finding Oriel and being with her once more. That takes her on a quest which then leads to the summoning of another succubus to find answers. That encounter, long before the actual sex comes into play, has heat, purpose and need which builds towards a telling climax.
Rinah, who appears in this work in place of Oriel, is completely different from her. She is seductive, but also quite dominant with a bit of a whining aspect to her. She is sex incarnate, like Oriel, but it’s a different flavour. The points at which her succubus powers are fully unleashed, especially the point at which she creates copies of herself to take Tiris in every way possible are delightfully hot and i enjoyed them entirely.
Four out of five pitchforks.
The work closes with so many questions unanswered and waiting. The next work I hope will tell more about the place of succubi in this universe is. It’s a tease, like the first work, but with a tone and character in the story that is unlike the first. Succubi in a sci-fi universe do interest me, and when it’s done well, that’s a delight to see.
