Plot Summary

Ian Goldman is the last of the Goldman dynasty. An heir to an abusive, alcoholic real estate mogul's vast riches, Ian is raised as a sheltered recluse, fixating instead on his loving mother, who dies in a suspicious car crash while he is still young. Ian eventually grows up, turning into a spoiled, viscious little man who does not like being told no. Once his father dies, he is left to spend the vast fortune he has inherited however he sees fit.

A closeted virgin who's one true desire is a forbidden lust he will never get to satiate, Ian seeks the occult knowledge of demon summoning to help bring his sick, twisted fantasies to life. After buying two infamous occult texts, the Luciferian Pedagogy and the Book of Magus, both of which give detailed rituals for summoning demons and practicing various satanic prayers, Ian thrusts himself into the world of esoteric knowledge. He finds what he is looking for, the "Invocation of Lilith", A prayer that is supposed to summon a sexual entity that will take the form of the person who's genetic material you use in the cocktail meant as an offering to her.

Ian soon finds himself in over his head however as he brings forth a monstrous entity into this world that will stop at nothing to get what she wants. No mere lower demon, he summons the queen of succubi herself, Lilith. What ensues is a sick, twisted sexual journey into madness.

Book Review

The following review was originally published by Tera on her Blog, A Succubi's Tale on December 17, 2019

Making a choice can lead to both temptation and damnation. One should be very sure about what they want, for the darkness will be sure they receive all and more.

The work is an erotic horror story with much of the focus being on the horror aspects. While there are are erotic moments, which run a very wide gambit, they are more spice towards the horror than being the focus overall. The characters are a bit one-dimensional, their purpose being to be brought to the last page and the fates they have created for themselves.

Lilith, the succubus of the story, is very much stereotypically evil, if tinged with an undertone of erotic promise and temptation. Setting aside the horror aspects, she was interesting to a point overall and when she was temptation and manipulator, that was more to my taste than just being demonically evil which felt rather expected and flat overall.

Two and a half out of five pitchforks.

The work is very much that of horror and it ends on that note quite firmly. Overall it was interesting at moments, but Lilith was a bit too stereotypical and the horror really did nothing to add to things in my case. For those that enjoy horror with a bit of an erotic edge, I’m sure it will be to their tastes, but it wasn’t really to my own.
