Book Review

The following review was originally published by Tera on her Blog, A Succubi's Tale on March 30, 2025

The afterlife doesn’t seem to be what Margaret and Richard expected it to be. It seems to be all about sex, and while Richard is getting all he can stand, Margaret just isn’t. But a tempting offer brings with it change in perspective and what comes next will be more than Margaret.

The work is something of a hot flash focused on bimbo transformation with a bit of mind control around the edges. While there is a story to tie the characters together and make the office setting, it is the erotica that takes up the majority of the storytelling. For those that enjoy bimbo stories, there’s some heat and overall the bimbo transformations are well done.

It’s towards the end of the work when the reality behind the setting comes out and things become interesting for me at least. In the midst of that revelation, and the deal made, there’s a pair of succubi that appear and have a scene with Margaret before she goes off to be a bimbo and the story comes to a close.

It’s that last twist in the story that I thought was interesting and it was a shame that the author didn’t explore that a bit more. If Margaret was going to be transformed into a bimbo, then why not take the small step further and make her one of the succubi? What might that have done to the story?

I think having Margaret take over, possibly having a succubus persona, a more dominant personality, would have taken this story further and added to it. It’s what could have been that leaves me really disappointed here and it really needs to be explored.

Two and a half out of five pitchforks.

Again it’s the what if that I keep coming back to. There are succubi, the true setting when revealed offers a path to that for the main characters to take. Perhaps a follow on story with a succubus, and for that matter, incubus, transformation might take things in a new direction to explore. It certainly leaves me wondering what could have, and perhaps should have, been.
