Plot Summary
The Venus Institute: Academy for Fertile Monsters. That was the script written neatly on the unexpected letter delivered to Juniper’s door.
As an innocent—and inexperienced—woodland pixie, Juniper never dreamed she’d receive the attention of such a storied institution, let alone an acceptance letter! Now, as a member of the incoming freshmen class, she has no choice but to attend orientation.
There, a sexy incubus professor gives the students their first test. Juniper is surprised to find its one she’s hungry to pass.
Book Review
The following review was originally published by Tera on her Blog, A Succubi's Tale on July 30, 2024
There’s no possible way that Juniper should be where she is. She’s a pixie and knowing what is going to happen next fills her with dread and worry. But there are others who simply wish to full her in other ways and perhaps that will reveal what Juniper never expected.
The work is mainly an introduction to the main character and the series as a whole with the latter half being focused on multiple erotic entanglements. The beginning of the work sets up the series well, tells a lot about Juniper and then leads into the core of the story. Overall that’s really very interesting, the characters are unique and they all offer a lot of story to explore.
The incubus of the work, Grigoryan. is very much an incubus and his actions express that well. Eventually he and Juniper become locked into a sex scene which has some heat in it, but felt a little over the top. Given the rest of the erotic scenes, it fits well, but felt too rushed and overbearing at points. Perhaps that is more a reflection of his personality than anything else, but it lacked some heat which would have been nice.
There is a succubus in the work as well, called The Dean, who is a minor character and really doesn’t express her nature very much in the story. However, her personality is very captivating and I hope she will appear in the series further. There’s a mystery around her in many ways and exploring that would add a lot.
Three out of five pitchforks.
It’s an interesting start to the series, though I will admit that the Dean interests me more than the balance of the characters who appear. Then there is the question of the setting itself which I think needs to be fleshed out and explored more. From the preview of the next work, Juniper will be seeing a lot of various beings of myth and legend, perhaps along the way there will be more than the sex scenes to explore.
