Ian’s good friend Louetta is something special, not the least being that she’s a succubus. A thoughtful moment leads to the two becoming closer than before and finding what each other needs.
The work mainly revolves around the heat between Ian and Louetta which overall tends towards something between a hot flash and light porn storytelling. It makes up the majority of the telling and as a result there’s really not that much told about Louetta herself. She is described as a succubus, but really there’s not a lot more told about her.
She isn’t evil by any means, but really beyond what she does in the story, there’s not a lot else that’s given a chance. Are her kind only interested in sex? Do they consume souls? Is she different from most other succubi in this world? There’s so much storytelling that could be said in this, but it just doesn’t come out.
It is a hot flash, as such it doesn’t really deal with these questions and leaves them to the reader to think about. Beyond that, the dialogue leaves something to be desired, mainly in that there’s not really a lot of emotional tone for the most part. There is a story here and it could be a lot more than it is. Rushing to the sex isn’t the best thing for this work. Given more time in setting up things and telling a story, this could be a lot better than it is.

There’s just really not enough background about Louetta for my liking which is a shame. There’s a story about her, but it gets lost in the erotic moments with Ian. Perhaps there needs to be a follow on, something to bring in more of the succubi world in this universe and tell more about them. The hints are there, but they just don’t go far which bothers me.
