Plot Summary

Professor Bartholomew Lukas Pennyworth, is a practitioner of psychiatry, and professor of psychotherapy, at a learning hospital in New York City. The year is 1932, and his life takes an alarming twist, when an orphan boy named Percival, whom he later labels Patient 0, is sent to him for a psychological evaluation. Patient 0, inspires the horrifying theory to the Professor, that diabolical, demonic entities, do in fact exist, and afflict mankind. Before the Professor's very eyes, the possessed boy scaled up the walls of his office, using only his fingertips, then hung there upside-down, like a bat from the ceiling. The Professor’s doubts of what he has actually seen, were quickly dismissed, when only a few months later, he sees a man, named Mr. White, conjuring a disgusting, demonic figure, in the secrecy of his home, which had red eyes. An oppressive sense of hopelessness afflicts the Professor, whose luck soon changes, when he teams up with Sorcha Rori O’Malley, to battle these impish, hordes of Lucifer together, as Demon Hunters.
