Book Review

The following review was originally published by Tera on her Blog, A Succubi's Tale on May 1, 2020

Amy is tempted by a book that offers to tell of how to summon an incubus and she cannot resist the idea. When she succeeds, she finds that she cannot resist Beziel’s presence and power, not that she wanted to in the first place.

The work is a very short, what I call a pamphlet, incubus erotica hot flash with a very strong male dominant focus throughout. Amy, the main character, is taken by Beziel, the incubus of the story, in mind, body and soul from the moment he appears. It’s something less of a tease as Beziel takes control of Amy, and the story, immediately and fulfills every wicked thought Amy has ever had.

Beziel is not quite stereotypical, nor is he evil exactly. He is very much irresistible temptation and there is a subtle appearance of his powers as an incubus through the story and the erotica to the climax. However, there is really very little told about him other than he being an incubus and it felt like an opportunity lost as a result.

Three out of five pitchforks.

It’s a bit too over the top for my liking, though both characters have their appeal. It’s also a shame the story is so short, there’s some really interesting places to take both characters, not the least of which would be for Amy to be enslaved, brought to hell, or become a succubus. All of these are investing ideas to wonder about considering where the story came to a close.
