Book Review

The following review was originally published by Tera on her Blog, A Succubi's Tale on February 10, 2019

A game is just a game until Clara gets pulled into the world, becomes a succubus, and then the fun and games really being for her.

The work is a mixture of erotica and fantasy adventure which mainly focuses on the main character after she is transformed into being a succubus, is collared, and then mind controlled in various ways before the climax of the story arrives and things become a lot more complicated.

The main focus comes in Clara being brought to submit to her summoner, the mind control aspects of what it controlling her, her own submissive nature, and, eventually, her succubus nature coming to the fore and what happens next.

Clara is something of a beginning succubus in this story, she has no real idea of what’s going on, why things are happening. But as the story turns erotic, her newfound nature as a succubus takes over, she falls into being a succubus, and it is something of a comedy of errors that wrap around her. She isn’t evil by any means, far more a creature of sex and seduction, which was delightfully fun and brought a lot of heat to the erotica as well.

Three and a half out of five pitchforks.

Where the story ends leads neatly towards the next work in the series, except there wasn’t one. Clara’s adventure didn’t continue, which is a shame as it could have gone in a lot of interesting directions. There was some promise here, the LitRPG aspects were toned down that they didn’t take me out of the story and I did want to see where this went. But it didn’t.
