Book Review
The following review was originally published by Tera on her Blog, A Succubi's Tale on August 31, 2018
There is always an itch to scratch for Sara, be that treasure or sex, both of them are delights. Her search brings a discovery she wasn’t expecting and the treasure might be good, but the sex is better when a succubus is involved.
The work is a fantasy adventure with an erotic edge that works well in telling the story, building the heat and creating something that is just a lot of fun. It’s clear who the inspiration for this series is, and really jumping into the series in the middle of things didn’t feel like I was missing anything.
The erotica has lovely heat, but it’s more about how much fun the succubus of the series, Cerce is. She’s very much a succubus with a great deal of power and sexuality, but that’s not over the top or silly. She’s more naughty and mischievous, which I adored. While there are a couple of odd moments otherwise, it’s the delight at her nature and how that effects all around her that I thought really worked well.
Three out of five pitchforks.
Cerce is a lot of fun and I do hope that she is more so as the series goes forwards from here. It’s very much erotic Tomb Raider in a lot of ways, but that’s not silly or feels odd either. It’s just a lot of delightful fun.
