Book Review

The following review was originally published by Tera on her Blog, A Succubi's Tale on May 17, 2019

Nonne continues to have one purpose, to punish without mercy those that do not heed. Perhaps she is not doing all she needs to and another must teach her as well.

The work is once again a very short, what I call a pamphlet, mixture of horror, BDSM, torture and female domination wrapped around the main character who is acting as the devil’s succubus. It’s a bit rushed, the story can’t quite find itself really, which is a shame. In the confusion comes some odd dialogue and some aspects of domination that really don’t appear often.

Nonne. the succubus of the work, isn’t quite a succubus so much as she is a weapon of revenge upon those who are deserving of it. She’s quite harsh, single-minded and overall isn’t seductive so much as she overcomes others, abuses them, and then sends them to their waiting fate. As such, the story continues to never really take her to be a succubus, to appear with horns or tail, and simply has her be evil with a purpose.

Two out of five pitchforks.

Still so very odd overall, there’s really nothing in the way of a succubus theme save for the main character being described as being one and as for the appearance of the second at the end of the story, that’s even more vague. I still hope that it will be more focused on telling the story in a clearer tone in the third part of the series.
