Silussa is a Succubus NPC character created by Gary Gygax who appeared in the Queen of the Spiders adventure module for the Advanced Dungeons and Dragons role playing game. As her role in this adventure was very limited, little character information or statistics were provided for her. The only note made of her situation or character was that when characters encounter her, she first appears as a breathtaking sculpture of a nude woman before transforming into her true form and attaching with her drow vampire lover Belgos.
Character Information
Siffilys appears, along with her drow vampire lover Belgos, when the characters enter a chamber in the adventure where they find a rose surrounded statue of alabaster, which appears to be a sculpture of a nude human female poised gracefully with one hand outstretched as if to pluck a rose. In truth this statue and the surrounding area are an illusion and it hides Siffilys, who is the statue, and Belgos, who is one of the bats in the area, disguised as a bird by the illusion.
When encountered, Silussa uses one charm person effect per round until her true nature is discovered. When this occurs she will use suggestion to cause disorganization and dissent. When players first enter the room, Silussa will use her ESP to learn about the players. She will not summon another demon no matter the situation and instead rely on Belgos to protect her. If Silussa is attacked, Belgos gains a +1 bonus to hit and to damage. Either Silussa or Belgos can summon to their aid a charmed Svirfneblin named Olaf Wodehopper who is in their thrall and will obey any commands. If Silussa is faced with death, or is seriously threatened, then she will become ethereal and will attempt to escape, with or without her lover or thrall.
Statistics
Silussa's statistics are very limited in the module and are noted as: HP 40; XPV 2,340. She can cast charm person, she has esp abilities, and can become ethereal. Otherwise, all of her statistics can be based on the general Succubus statistics for Advanced Dungeons and Dragons.
