Plot Summary

Beneath the vaulted ceilings of a forgotten library, where the scent of aging paper and forgotten promises hangs heavy in the air, a brilliant student named William Green discovers a text that was meant to stay buried. It speaks of power, of pleasure, and of a being that walks the line between ecstasy and oblivion.

Driven by an insatiable hunger for forbidden lore, he dares to speak the words not meant for mortal lips.

He thinks he is the summoner. The master. He is wrong.

She rises not from fire and brimstone, but from shadow and silk. A succubus whose whispers can unravel a man's sanity and whose touch promises a pleasure so profound, it borders on pain. He sought to study her, to control her. But his academic curiosity has ignited a carnal obsession that will become his undoing.

This is not a simple tale of seduction. It is a battle for the soul, fought on sheets of silk and in the darkest corners of the mind. Every caress is a contract, every kiss a confession. His obsession becomes her chains, and her hunger, his only salvation.

Pleasure has a price. Will you pay it?

Book Review

The following review was originally published by Tera on her Blog, A Succubi's Tale on May 10, 2026

Those seeking to make a deal with a succubus are never the ones in control. Desires are the weapon of the succubi, they know what is hidden within the souls calling them. The only question is how long will it be until the soul surrenders to the succubus and what remains behind.

The work is an erotic fantasy magic with a focus on domination and submission wrapped around a succubus and the mortal that summoned her. It’s quite a dark story from the beginning, the succubus is evil, without question and as for the main character that summoned her, he is a lost lamb being drawn to his eventual fate.

The erotic aspects have lovely heat with a dark edge that works well with how things unfold. There’s temptation and seductiveness but at the same time the impending doom is clear. The question becomes if the main character can resist or if the succubus will claim him.

The succubus of the story, who is never named, is overall very dark and evil, but their seductive temptation, voice and personality just managed to keep them from being stereotypical. She is very dominant, very much has the upper hand, and sees to it that the main character will give in, eventually, to everything she demands for the pleasure she gives.

Three out of five pitchforks.

It is, of course, a darkly evil story with a rather fatal ending that wasn’t that much of a surprise. It’s a shame that the succubus was not delved into more, that the aspects of control in the story not explored or put into stark detail to a greater aspect. With that said, the erotic temptation was well done and in that I thought it was a well told read.
