Book Review

The following review was originally published by Tera on her Blog, A Succubi's Tale on March 18, 2018

A collection of stories telling of encounters with the otherworldly, the lost, and the shade that exist between the world of the here and now and the world just beyond one’s fingertips.

The first story told in the collection revolves around the appearance of a spirit deemed to be an incubus and the events that unfold to the couple being haunted. It’s quite an interesting tale, those in the story are dealing with quite a lot and it takes as much to resolve things.

As for the incubus, their story, as described, is a bit troublesome, quite sad, and the telling of why they are there, what they do, and did, to be where they are is such a dearly sad thing by far.

The balance of the work tells of other encounters, other spirits, other beings encountered and what happened as a result. A thoughtful read, there’s moments to reflect on what happened and wonder about them too.

Three out of five pitchforks.

The work is an interesting collection of events the author tells of, quite fascinating and in many ways revealing about the mythos they have seen. It’s not a work exclusively about incubi, it’s only a small fragment overall, but with that said, it does give quite a lot to think about.
