Plot Summary

She may be his for now, but I won’t be leaving here until she’s mine.

MORGAN

Seduce. Suck their soul. Repeat.

There are things about being a succubus I enjoy. The eternal life, preservation of youth and beauty, those are all nice. I could do without the harsh deadline of finding exactly thirteen victims by the blood moon, but so is the price you pay, right? The one thing, though, that I truly love about my deal with the Devil is the power. The power to control. The power to possess. The power to ruin.

But now there’s her. I’m completely enraptured by this sweet little seductress who’s caught my eye and wrapped herself around my black and empty soul. I will give anything, sacrifice everything, to keep her. I’ll do whatever it takes to steal Scarlett away.

SCARLETT

My life is pretty good. I have a job I like, a good looking boyfriend, a nice little apartment, and a cute orange tabby. Life is generally pretty good. If I just keep repeating that, I’ll be able to convince myself that it’s true, right?

Then she shows up and shakes me to my core. She's fierce and dangerous and sexy. She’s everything I’m not. And she’s got her sights set on me.

Book Review

The following review was originally published by Tera on her Blog, A Succubi's Tale on July 20, 2025

If there is one thing Morgan has found in her long life as a succubus, it’s that few souls are worth anything. Except there is a soul she’s encountered that she can’t shake from her thoughts. But when Morgan finds out just what Scarlett faces, she will make sure that problem goes away, and Scarlett will be hers no matter the cost.

The work tells a story of two souls coming into orbit with each other, the issues they face, and the choice they both make in order make what they desire most real. A bit of tragedy, some moments of horror, quite a lot of BDSM and a lesbian erotic passion all create a story that is so dearly emotionally draining.

As the story is told, there are moments which did give me pause, mostly in the scenes between Morgan and Scarlett when their dominant and submissive personalities play off each other. It’s a little over the top at times, some of the play is a bit too rough for my liking, but that’s a matter of taste than anything else.

The erotic moments are passionate, deeply enriched by the sensations and feelings both Morgan and Scarlett feel. The connection between the two, the truths revealed at some pivotal moments I felt were far more powerful than the erotica alone.

Morgan, the succubus of the work, is very much a succubus, there’s no question of her purpose, what she needs and takes from others. At times very much a demoness, wings, horns and tail and attitude, but then there are the moments when she appears as an ethereal beauty to Scarlett and those scenes I thought were so dearly revealing about her.

I wish there was more about Morgan in this work than there was. She’s still very much a mystery at the end, at least as her being a succubus and her past. It would have been nice to explore but really it’s less important than the story of the redemption she and Scarlett go through.

Three and a half out of five pitchforks.

The work closes in a way that fits the characters and offers a glimpse of what came afterwards. Perhaps not a fairy tale ending, but it feels tight for them both. I will admit there is one question that I was left with at the end and that was Scarlett’s cat. Why does it feel like there’s something untold about them and why do I want that explored I wonder.
