Plot Summary

The cursed Royal Mage Rielle has had many apprentices before, but when the naive Lady Claire comes to her classroom, she finds herself unreasonably tempted by the undisciplined heiress. Praise and punishment are her tools of choice, ones which have Claire falling headfirst into a heady world of forbidden lusts.

It doesn’t help Rielle’s self control that Claire wants her tutor to restrain the hot, wild magic within her by any means possible- especially the naughty ones.

Pleasure filled study-sessions soon have Claire excelling in her lessons, and her desire to please her tutor only grows. When Claire discovers her teacher’s curse isn’t what it seems, it blurs the line even further between personal and professional.

Mentor. Lover.Succubus.

If Claire wants to pass her course, she’ll have to show Rielle just how bad she wants to make the grade.

Book Review

The following review was originally published by Tera on her Blog, A Succubi's Tale on November 29, 2024

Claire holds the power of magic within her, but it is without control or focus. It drives her, being on the edge of losing control and lost to it forever. But Rielle might be able to tame her, a teacher who demands Claire submit to her in all things. But when the truth comes out, that Rielle is a succubus, it’s then Claire realizes what Rielle wants, and it’s exactly what she wants too.

The work is a lovely mixture of sapphic erotica with a very strong fantasy theme. The story focuses on the two main characters and the struggle within themselves and between each other as magic, in many forms, connects them intimately. There’s also a very strong domination theme as well which Rielle, the succubus of the work, uses to tempt, tease and being Claire to heel.

The erotic heat simmers at the beginning but soon turns into a raging fire between the characters in so many ways. Rielle teases and tempts, Claire struggles and acts to bring more passion between them both. It’s something of an odd romance perhaps, but with each line spoken and the actions taken, the erotica never eases and the result is absolutely perfect.

Rielle is very much a succubus, but she isn’t exactly evil. That’s to say she’s not stereotypical. She’s very much dominant, her nature as a succubus appears from the moment she appears and I delighted in every tease, measure of control, and in the moments when her nature took over and Claire was taught a lesson, the heat was wonderful.

There’s just something about a succubus who revels in her nature and in doing so gives rise to what in this work, scenes of succubus power, in mind and body over others. It’s rare to find a story where that is done well, with a purpose beyond sex alone and here that just creates something amazing.

Four and a half out of five pitchforks.

Wonderfully written, the teasing is a delight from beginning to end. I’d love to see a follow on story about Rielle and Claire. and that’s mainly to learn more doubt Rielle herself. She is a succubus, that’s not in question. What I wonder about is her history, what she did before and how she came to ne where she is. That’s a fascinating thought to wonder about and perhaps someday that story will be told.
