The Tower of Druaga: The Aegis of Uruk (ドルアーガの塔 〜the Aegis of URUK〜 Doruāga no Tō ~ji Ījisu obu Uruku~?) and its sequel, The Tower of Druaga: The Sword of Uruk (ドルアーガの塔 ~the Sword of URUK~ Doruāga no Tō ~za Sōdo obu Uruku~?), is an anime TV series, created by Gonzo, and is an animated continuation of Namco's Babylonian Castle Saga video game franchise which began as an arcade game, The Tower of Druaga, originally released in 1984. This series is amongst the first to be officially broadcast on the internet by Gonzo simultaneously in Japanese and subtitled in English on YouTube, Crunchyroll and BOST TV.

In this series a character called Succubus appears.

Description

Succubus' physical appearance differs between the games and the anime. While not apparent in the arcade version of The Tower of Druaga, in the PC engine remake and The Blue Crystal Rod Succubus is shown with wavy blonde hair, two horns, and bat wings on her back. In the PC Engine version she is revealed to be topless, possibly suggesting nudity. In the anime however, Succubus has straight blue hair and lacks horns. She is also fully clad, in white and blue clothing.

Character History

In The Tower of Druaga, a Succubus is Druaga's right hand. Druaga gave her the task to protect the Blue Crystal Rod in the 58th floor of the Tower of Druaga, and she disguises herself as Ishtar in a attempt to fool Gilgamesh, but Gil discovered the fake and manages to obtain the Blue Crystal Rod from her.

Depending of the player's actions in The Blue Crystal Rod, it's shown that Succubus left the tower and is hidden in a cave. Gil and Ki may find the cave and talk with her.

In Seme COM Dungeon: Drururuaga, a Succubus appears as the boss of Stage 2-4. She kidnaps Kalia in Babylim. Succubus Spell Cards are rare cards that can be obtained by the player.

Succubus also appears in The Nightmare of Druaga: Fushigino Dungeon and Druaga Online: The Story of Aon.

Succubus appears as a optional boss in Tales of Destiny, where she is called False Ishtar and Fake Ishtar. She also appears in Tales of Phantasia: Narikiri Dungeon.
