Plot Summary
Benji hates his job as a farm hand, working six days a week, fourteen hours a day. He’s exhausted and he’s starting to regret his life decisions. Then, while cleaning out an old barn, he finds a book: Summoning Demons. It’s an ancient tome, filled with horrendous images and thousands of pages of strange incantations.
But there’s one page that catches Benji’s interest: instructions on how to summon a beautiful succubus who, when summoned, will grant the summoner three wishes. The only catch is that each wish needs to be sealed with some ‘adult time’ to please the demon, though it never said anything in the book about the succubus being an endowed futa.
Book Review
The following review was originally published by Tera on her Blog, A Succubi's Tale on January 17, 2023
Benji really hasn’t been happy with his life, and the turn it’s taken has brought him to a farm and all the work that entails. In the midst of a chore he discovers a book which brings a succubus into his life and offers to change it to whatever he wants. For a price of course. Not all wishes are good and not all wishes become what you wanted them to be as Benji will discover, but will that be in time?
The work is mainly a wish-fulfillment story with the succubus of the story, Erica, being the means to have those wishes happen. There is a futa theme to much of the erotica, and the ending brings a surprise to the story that explains a lot of what happened and why things came to be. Written well, there’s a lot of emphasis on his wishes and the emotional impacts they have.
That’s what drives the story forwards overall. The erotica is more a means to an end than anything else. The heat simmers for the most part, it doesn’t drive the story overall. It helps the characters to move towards the conclusion which ties up the story and the characters really well.
Erica, the succubus of the work, for the most part is a futa succubus with some quite unique needs and means of granting wishes. She’s forceful and clearly has her own thoughts about Benji and what he wishes for, not necessarily what he actually desires.
A unique story with unique characters and the emotional aspects to hold everything together. It’s not really a succubus story however, it’s very much a story about granting wishes and what happens when those wishes aren’t really the truth. As such it’s more apt to call this a genie story that has a succubus at the core rather than a genie.
Four out of five pitchforks.
It’s a surprisingly well told story with some really well explored themes and characters. Erica provided possibilities to explore and for Benji to discover that sometimes what you seek just happens. It would be interesting to see a follow on story with Erica, perhaps to give Benji and Wendy something more than they have. Perhaps a story where she encounters another lost soul. Either would be delightful.
