Plot Summary

After having the wildest night of his life with my brand-new succubus pal, I've only got one thing on my mind - to have the greatest Spring Break of his life!

Granted enough of her power to be irresistible to every beach bunny and co-ed cutie in Pike's Point, I'm ready to paint the town red - but Erika seems like she's about as likely to murder me as f*ck my brains out! This might be a level of crazy that's too much for an ordinary mortal to handle...

Book Review

The following review was originally published by Tera on her Blog, A Succubi's Tale on March 15, 2019

Discovering Erika in his room, that she’s a succubus, was the start of a sex rollercoaster that Craig never expected. But asking the impossible of a succubus can leave lasting effects for him and Erika. It’s what happens next, and the trouble that he gets into, which makes Craig wonder what true hell is awaiting him.

Following on immediately from the prior work, the story takes an odd twist when Craig makes a demand of Erika which is completely against her nature as a succubus. It’s a turn in their relationship which honestly took me out of the story and what came after the opening chapter I found lacking in many ways.

What had been a sort of friendship between the main characters turned sour and in a way that suggests that something else was going on, though neither of them could admit to that fully. What’s left is a tepid series of erotic scenes with little heart or soul to them, opening the series to becoming something of an expected harem gathering adventure.

That just didn’t appeal to me, and considering how much I enjoyed the opening work, that just felt so very wrong. While Erika’s reaction to Craig’s demand made sense, it also took her out pf the story and that was the one thing I was really concerned about. It did allow for the twist at the end, which offers something for the series to use as well, but that wasn’t nearly enough.

But this was the last work released by the author in this series and there hasn’t been anything else since. It’s so dearly disappointing in many ways, not the least of which is Erika herself. The mystery around her wasn’t explored, the series just walked away from her and it just took the wind out of the story.

Two and a half out of five pitchforks.

I can think of many, many ways the series could have gone and I wish it had. There was a lot of promise here and the underlying humour was a delight by far. I’m not sure the harm aspects would have turned in a way that allowed Erika to be central to the story again, but if she was, I think the balance of the series could have exploited her relationship with Craig, possibly turning him into an incubus. The idea of Craig and Erika becoming lovers just feels right, but we’ll never know.
