Ryan has a problem, well several of them if he’s honest about that. No magic means that he’s going to get kicked out of school and the future does’t look bright. But the universe has other ideas and a succubus called Nyx might have the solution. Yes it involves sex, yes it will change him. But in the end, isn’t having your dreams come true worth it?
The work is themed to a LitRPG setting that’s heavily influenced by some well known anime school themes that work quite well to create a fun and delightfully cute story with some dearly amusing characters. There’s a very strong erotic theme as well that carries throughout and the main character Ryan is almost always thinking about sex once Nyx appears to help.
Nyx, the succubus of the work, has quite a lot of expected anime succubus aspects to her character, both physically and personality wise. She’s not evil, though she is so very horny throughout the story. More than anything else, she’s a temptress, the voice in Ryan’s mind that suggests all of the things he could, and should, be doing. Her amused tone worked really well in adding to the plot and story as well and I dearly looked forward to each appearance by her.
There’s a lot to like in this work, the universe and setting is unique, the characters are perhaps a bit over the top stereotypical in their nature, which sometimes crosses over into more hentai than anime themes. The characters develop over the story, both Ryan and Nyx aren’t quite the same once the story comes to a close and that was really good to see.
But this is a LitRPG work and the statistics that kept appearing are distracting, if necessary at times. There are also some points where it seems the author put some advertisements for themselves between the chapters which only served to interrupt the story and honestly I wish they weren’t there.
The work could use an editing pass, mainly to make the dialogue read better, at times it is rather wooden and lacking emotion. As well the narrative could be cleaned up to be more descriptive than it is. It reads like there are some bits and pieces missing and being so, seems like part of the story isn’t told which is a shame.

It’s a cute and funny story, though the narrative and dialogue feels really odd at times. As much as LitRPG works don’t work for me, the addition of the anime vibe helped a lot to make things better. Nyx being as delightful a succubus as she is was adorable. The main thing is this is fun and cute and in that it’s worth a read.
