Idola Song is the High Priestess of the Sisters of Lilith, a sorority that has existed for over 200 years, opens her Eden to 15 new seniors of Dunwich College. Each girl must confess her naughtiest encounters in order to join... but will these stories actually give power to something more evil than they ever imagined? Book Review
The following review was originally published by Tera on her Blog, A Succubi's Tale on December 30, 2018
To become one of the Daughters of Lilith, the truth must be told. No matter the pain, the shame or the thrill, it must be bared to all. Sometimes that truth is more telling than one realized before.
The work is a short erotic hot flash which focuses on a group gathering and one of them being made to tell their truth. It is very much a rushed story in many ways, there are bits and pieces of the story universe told, but only in passing and it is a bit of a shame as those leave questions to wonder about.
The erotica comes from a flashback of one of the characters and while there is some heat, it is a little bit clinical and almost taken from a third person perspective. It’s also a bit rushed and a little scattered as well which is a shame as that could have been drawn out more and explored in a deeper way.
The succubus of the work, Lilybella, has the aspects of a succubus, she calls herself one as well. There are hints of a succubus in what her story tells, a bit of mind control, a little domination, the drawing of succubus powers over another. It is interesting to see unfold, but overall she is something of a mystery, not being developed deeply beyond the surface that the story allows which is a shame.
Two and a half out of five pitchforks.
The work feels more like a chapter in a larger novel overall. There is a frame work around the group that is hinted at, but doesn’t move out of the shadows as it really needed to. Nut there is something here and it is interesting and given that many of the characters seem to have succubus aspects to them, there is a lot of story not told and it needed to be. Perhaps a novel will come from this, I can see it being possible and perhaps sometime it will.
