Plot Summary
Trist had been in a slump for months. After finding out his wife was cheating on him, he was kicked out of his own home and has been a total sad sack. The only bright spot of his week is running his weekly tabletop rpg campaign for his friends. So when one friend offers to send him on a dream vacation to Hawaii, Tristan goes along with it, if only to humor him.
He didn't expect that friend to set him up with myserious, youthful succubus Meridiana when he got there though. And neither of them expected Tristan would have something special inside of him, a raw alpha male power that could tame even a supernatural beauty like Meridiana. Now she serves him, and her first priority is to build him a harem worthy of her new Master.
Book Review
The following review was originally published by Tera on her Blog, A Succubi's Tale on May 22, 2020
Tristan’s life seems to be going to hell. His wife has left him, his world is crumbling around him and there seems to be no where to escape. A friend repaying a favour sends him on vacation where hell comes knocking on his door. Meridiana desires something from him, and a succubus will get what she wants. Perhaps it’s not so bad to owe a succubus, it might even be better to own one.
The work is a mixture of succubus seduction, transformation and mind-control erotica which focuses on the main character Tristan as he encounters Meridiana, the succubus of the work, and she has her way with him. Not just in a delightfully hot erotic scene, but also transforming him physically, as well as perhaps a bit of mind-control as well. There’s a fair bit of corruption as well, Tristan soon being lost in his new appearance and Meridiana playing him to do what she desires.
There’s also the physical and mental transformation of another character which works overall but it’s done too quickly for my liking. True, Meridiana works her magic and pulls both of the other characters into her grasp, but it’s done in a way that seems like something’s missing in the transformations.
The erotica simmers through much of the story and while the first erotic scene I thought was really well done, the latter felt over the top and far too adult movie-like. It’s clear that this series will be turning towards a harem theme overall and while that might work, many times it doesn’t. Hopefully there will be more focus than just the sex, it would be good to know more about Meridiana than her fawning over Tristian. This work starts the series out and it’s interesting. I hope that manages to continue.
Three out of five pitchforks.
At this point Meridiana is mainly a catalyst to what happens. She’s a delightfully manipulative succubus and there’s every possibility that she will be directing Tristan along the way. I hope that there’s some reveals about her, that there’s more to her than just scheming and plotting. Not that she doesn’t do that well so far, I just expect more of her than just making sex toys for Tristan.
