Plot Summary
It begins with a dream she cannot explain and cannot stop thinking about. A silver lit room. A presence that is ancient and dark and entirely focused on her. A voice that does not so much arrive as settle, somewhere deep and warm and impossible to ignore.
She wakes up changed. Elana makes a decision she absolutely should not make. She stands in front of her mirror in the dark. She asks him back.
And he comes.
She never knows what she will find when she closes her eyes. She never knows what form he will wear or what world he will build or what part of her wanting he will find next and make his own. She only knows that she cannot stop. That she does not want to. That the waking world grows thinner by the night while the dreaming world becomes the only place that feels entirely real.
