Plot Summary

Tired of being under the thumb of The Supernatural Council - Sid the vampire, Tish the succubus and Mac the troll decide to go their own way and open their own business, a small pizza place they lovingly dub Supernatural Pizza. To be successful, the trio must work their way around being bad at marketing, customer reviews, employee interviews, sick days, protestors, and a very angry Supernatural Council.

Book Review

The following review was originally published by Tera on her Blog, A Succubi's Tale on February 9, 2021

Sometimes a thought becomes a goal. An idea becomes a reason to prove oneself. For Sid, Trish and Mac, joining together to create a pizza shop seems like such a small thing. But in truth, there’s more to meet the eye, and more to gain than they really know.

The work is a wonderfully written story of friendship, fighting against the odds, and the passion that comes from being able to do what you want to, for a good reason, for good. There’s actually some lessons told in the pages that added a lot to the story as well. Supernatural in theme, the story creates a world where the supernatural and human worlds have been coexisting for a short time. It tells of the conflicts to some, the need for acceptance in others. Very much a page turner, the humour is wonderful, the characters are amazing and it’s all just so captivating.

Tish, the succubus of the work, is anything but stereotypical. I adore her so very much, her personality is a joy, her friends matter, and her character arc is as strong and complete as all of the main characters. She is a succubus, but the story isn’t about her sexual nature, really that’s set aside for everything else she is. Smart, funny, caring and most of all, focused on her friends.

Really all of the characters, main and supporting, are fully told. They have their quirks, their passions. They stumble and get on their feet again. Nothing comes easy in this story, there’s a reason for things happening and a purpose for each and that was just such a telling thing.

Four out of five pitchforks.

The story ends in a place that feels right and ties up a lot of threads. It’s so dearly satisfying and were the character arcs come to makes sense and has a feeling of promise and hope. Just a wonderful work, far more than I expected at the start and well worth the read.
