Book Review

The following review was originally published by Tera on her Blog, A Succubi's Tale on December 29, 2019

It’s only a dinner date for Marcus, there’s no possibility that Felicia might be more than that. But Felicia has a few surprises, not the least of which is she’s a succubus. But that’s supposed to be a secret and Felicia is good at keeping secrets… right?

The work is a cute, if very short, comic book with transformation and succubus themes which lead into the erotic climax. It’s fun, both main characters are adorable. The art is lovely, Felicia’s transformations are really well done and work well to help tell the story too.

Felicia. the succubus of the story, is something between being lost in the world of humans and just being a bit overwhelmed in meeting Marcus. That’s not to say she isn’t very much a sexual being however. That aspect of her personality gets her into trouble which leads into her quite naughty tail, that I just adore the interactions with, turning the date upside down and bringing them both together. Felicia isn’t at all stereotypical, and really it’s hard to call her anything near bring evil too.

Felicia is just adorably cute and so very lost in trying to deal with the situation she becomes involved in. I would have loved a bit more told about her, not just as being a succubus. As a follow on story, and as this work is on a transformation comic website, the idea of Marcus being transformed into an incubus I think is so very amusing a thought.

How the story comes to pass, and what happens to Felicia along the way, gives this a bit of a slapstick comedy feel which made me smile. Once past the mistakes over dinner, Felicia has her way with Marcus, which he really doesn’t mind and seems to be completely accepting of her being a succubus as well. The erotic scenes shift Felicia’s personality from being a bit lost to being very sure of what she wants. When that happens, Felicia seems far more sure of herself which leads to the final page and a little revelation and promise that closed the story perfectly.

Four out of five pitchforks.

A bit short, a little scattered in the telling, but still a fun story and comic. The art is lovely, Felicia is just a wonderful character. How things end offers the possibility of a future story to tell, which might never appear. Nonetheless a story that I did like, a succubus that’s quirky, and, of course, a very naughty tail.
